The Hoa Lu ancient traditional festivals known as Truong yen, Co Lau festival took place on March 6th, 7th, 8th lunar year. This festival is an opportunity to commemorate the King and national hero: Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh.

In the morning of each day, there often starts water procession ceremony. The procession was quite elaborately prepared. Many days before opening festival, people often “plant” a big bamboo in Hoang Long River. On the tops of bamboo, it hangs a yellow banner.
